LP3 is the third installment of Paradoxes, Holy Similaun's outlet for non-real time, procedural compositions.

This chapter stands at the crossroads of musique concrete, field recordings, library music and pure, unadulterated algorithmic madness. The already minimalistic sonic palette of the previous releases has been cut to the bone, exploring the possibilities of the ominous pressure of sheer silence.

Listening to the four seamless movements of LP3 feels like an urbex trip inside some abandoned military facility.
Everything you can perceive is darkness, the silence is broken by the occasional clanging and rustling of unknown metal objects. You can tell from the reverbs that the building is humongous, but you can't determine whether you are alone or something is lurking in the shadows.
The tension rises as you feel hunted down, in a spiral of Alien-esque claustrophobia: the sparse noises now feel like some post-Mutoid tribal drums. You became the prey, hiding is your only option.

Paradoxes achieved to create an absolutely vivid experience with the minimum number of sonic events, distilling its sound design wizardry into a chilling study about the great expressivity of void space in music.
